FlagAds

You’ve seen it on televised golf tournaments dozens of times: a player’s drive disappears into the rough and a marshal comes over and marks the landing area with a small, brightly-colored nylon flag.

Dave Bermudadeap was one such marshal at a PGA Tour event when he had his “Eureka!” moment and created his company, FlagAds. Dave explains:

“It occurred to me that if I sold advertising space on those little flags, the ad message could be seen by millions of TV viewers … plus all of the golf fans in the gallery. Of course, I’d cut the PGA Tour in for a piece of the action so it would be a win-win for everybody.

“I’ve sent emails to Tour headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach but so far no one’s gotten back to me. I’d also like to reach out to Augusta National but I don’t have any contact information for them. If anyone out there could supply me with an email address, I’d be willing to pay a finder’s fee if Augusta becomes a client.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the small business owner to compete with the Big Boys at a very reasonable price point. Viewers who’ve tuned out ads from golf equipment companies or banks or hotels will stop in their tracks when they view a flag promoting a periodontist … or a dog poop removing company … or a one-armed Myrtle Beach tattoo artist. Plus, when a viewer sees, say, Rory McIlroy approach his ball, remove the flag and hand it to the marshal … it’s almost as if Rory himself is endorsing the product or service! So the advertiser piggybacks on to the star player’s fame … without paying the player a nickel!

“The news gets even better: as each new crop of PGA Tour players hit the ball further and further off the tee, you can expect exponentially more FlagAds opportunities for the canny advertiser.

“You’re leaving big profits on the table when you DON’T advertise with FlagAds. Get in the game now by emailing [email protected]. And that goes for you, too, Augusta National. This would be like found money for you!
