The International Mega-Yacht Association is steaming mad. Its Executive Director, Evan Keel, had this reaction to the conclusion of yesterday’s Hero Challenge golf tournament in Albany, The Bahamas: “Frankly, we were shocked at the size of the yachts displayed during the television broadcast. We had an agreement with the Albany marina to moor only vessels that were at least 500 feet long. Instead, the viewing audience had to endure the sight of “starter boats” that were reminiscent of the ‘Minnow’ from Gilligan’s Island. And that includes Tiger’s yacht.

“These so-called ‘yachts’ were bereft of helipads, executive golf courses, sleeping hammocks for tax accountants and defense lawyers, 50-gallon drums filled with Splenda packets lifted from Côte d’Azur 3-star Michelin restaurants, and gold-smelting furnaces. We will be seeking legal redress from the Albany marina and the Bahamian government for breach of contract.”
